Notre Dame

The greatest of all man-made sights has to be in Paris. People make pilgrimage from across the globe to be here. You know what I’m taking about…the July sales! Every store in Paris is getting rid of its stock, final markdowns, before everyone heads off to the South of France for vacation. You can get things incredibly cheap this time of year. But, don’t go on Saturday; go on Tuesday when everyone is working. Since you’re on vacation, you can scoop everyone.

Oh, and there is this thousand year old venerated cathedral that was among the first of its kind to defy physics with its soaring bell towers, there are the stain glass windows that capture and waltz with the mid-afternoon sunshine. Some might say that this heavenly palace on earth is better than a sale at the Gap, but I doubt it.
